Head's Message   

Welcome to the HKBU Geography Department website. We are one of seven departments in the Faculty of Social Sciences and offer both undergraduate and postgraduate programs leading to Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees.

The nature of our discipline is very diverse, covering physical and human geography and the skills needed to understand the modern world. This diversity is reflected in the wide-ranging experience of our staff, who have published high-calibre research in many different regions. We are particularly proud of our friendly relationships between staff and students and place considerable emphasis on teaching students to learn independently through projects, tutorials, laboratories and field excursions.
