Dr. Lyu Xiaopu Awarded the Public Policy Research (PPR) Funding Scheme 2023-24 (Third Round)

Our colleague, Dr. Lyu Xiaopu has been awarded HK$648,255 by the Public Policy Research (PPR) Funding Scheme, backed by the HKSAR's Chief Executive's Policy Unit. The PPR scheme funds various research areas, including environmental protection and economic development, to support evidence-based policy-making in Hong Kong.
His project, titled "What are the Implications of COVID-19 Restrictions for Ozone Pollution Control in Hong Kong?", is set to unfold in the next eighteen months. This timely research will investigate the pandemic's impact on ozone levels and provide policy-influencing solutions. Dr. Lyu's research, chosen due to its significance for policy-making, involves collaboration with specialists from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Nanjing University. The goal is to guide and enhance policies addressing ozone pollution in the region.
