A delegation from the School of Geography, South China Normal University (SCNU), including Professor Liu Yungang (Dean of the School of Geography), Professor Wang Fenglong (a Ph.D. graduate from our department), and Dr. Chen Hong, visited our Department on 13 December 2023. They were met by Professor Daniel Lai, the Dean of our Faculty of Social Sciences. The delegation also held a meeting with several department colleagues, including Professor Wang Donggen (Department Head), Dr. Guo Meiyu, and Dr. Lyu Xiaopu. Various topics were covered in the meeting, such as joint field studies for undergraduate students in the Greater Bay Area, collaborations on the taught master program, and the Greater Bay Area geography academic alliance, among others. This visit is expected to further strengthen the collaborations between the School of Geography at SCNU and the Department of Geography at HKBU.
