Minor Programme in Geography

Students seeking to pursue the study of a minor programme would need to fulfil 15 units of courses specified by the offering department/programme, and note that no registration priority will be given to enrolment in minor courses. Upon completion of the 15 units required for the minor programme, students should apply to the Academic Registry for approval.

Students are required to take at least two Level 2 Elective courses and at least two Level 3/4 Elective courses.

Students can also take either one of the GE Capstone courses offered by the Department of Geography (GCAP3026 or GCAP3027) to have a level 3/4 Elective course exempted for minoring in Geography. In this regard, students only need to fulfil 12 units of the courses in the above course list with a 3-unit GE Capstone course (GCAP3026 or GCAP3027) and apply for the double-counting arrangements to Academic Registry in the final year of study.
