GEOG Career Talk cum Information Evening

The Department of Geography proudly hosted its GEOG Career Talk cum Information Evening on 30 April 2026. This engaging event brought together 22 enthusiastic students for an inspiring evening of learning, connection, and meaningful conversations. Moderated by Prof. Daphne Mah, we were delighted to welcome back two of our distinguished alumni as guest speakers:

· Ms. Vincy TAM (Secondary School Teacher)

· Mr. Derek TAM (Town Planner, Planning Department)

Both guests shared in-depth insights into their current roles and generously offered their personal experiences to help students explore future career paths in geography.

This year, both guests generously shared detailed insights into their current roles and day-to-day work responsibilities, giving our students a closer look at what a career in urban planning and education. They also took the time to interact with students personally, answering questions and sharing valuable advice from their own professional journeys.

The evening also featured a lucky draw, with our guests drawing the winners, adding excitement to the event. Following the sharing session, students enjoyed a buffet dinner, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment for networking and meaningful conversations.
